About me:
I am a post-baccalaureate with experience in both dry lab and wet lab settings. Passionate about research, neuroscience, and medicine, I graduated with a BS in clinical neuroscience and a minor in Latin from Virginia Tech. During my time at Virginia Tech, I worked in two neuroscience labs at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at Virginia Tech Carilion. My first lab experience focused on the neuroimaging of and decision-making in neuropsychiatric disorders, and the second, where I was awarded the Fralin Undergraduate Research Fellowship, focused on the neural circuits underlying neuropsychiatric symptoms. I am excited to learn more about neurodevelopmental disorders in my time at the Bajikar lab.
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, yoga, volunteering at the National Crisis Text Line, and spending time with my friends and loved ones.
Although I am a Hokie, I look forward to also becoming a 'Hoo.
