About me:
I am a passionate and driven scientist investigating craniofacial malformations and the underlying biological processes that regulate craniofacial development. I hope to use these insights to develop novel therapies and treatments to positively affect the lives of children born with craniofacial differences. I obtained my B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology from Tulane University. I then obtained my Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from Tulane University with distinction under the mentorship of Dr. Fenglei He. While at Tulane I published research on chondrocranium development as well as novel mechanisms driving Craniosynostosis. I am excited to work with the talented minds of the Bajikar Lab during my Postdoctoral training to investigate the intersection of neurological and craniofacial dysregulation.
My interests outside of the lab include many nerdy hobbies such as playing Dungeons & Dragons, competing in Magic the Gathering tournaments, and trying out new breweries.
