About me:
I am a Biomedical Engineering undergraduate student (27’) with a Spanish minor, and a research assistant in the Bajikar lab! I have developed a strong interest in the anatomy of neuronal cells and how they can be further engineered to mitigate neuronal diseases through my work here. This is my first significant experience in conducting independent research behind the bench, and I am very excited to use the opportunity to hone my skills and grow as a novice researcher within the Bajikar lab.
Outside of my work in the lab, I enjoy fencing both at the university and greater Charlottesville, dancing contemporary and ballet, cooking for myself and my loved ones, reading whenever I can, and traveling often!
